The Perfect Wedding Shot List:

Getting Ready:

  • Bride getting her hair and makeup done
  • Groom getting dressed and putting on his boutonniere
  • Bride and bridesmaids getting dressed
  • Groom and groomsmen getting ready
  • Close-up details of the wedding attire (shoes, jewelry, dress, suit)
  • Family members and close friends helping with preparations
  • Any special or sentimental items that will be used during the wedding (family heirlooms, DIY decorations, etc.)

First Looks:

  • Bride and groom's reaction when they first see each other
  • Bride and groom's first kiss as a married couple
  • Bride and groom's first dance
  • Close-up shots of the wedding rings and wedding bands
  • Candid shots of the bride and groom laughing and chatting with their wedding party

Ceremony:

  • Guests arriving and taking their seats
  • The processional (bridesmaids and groomsmen, flower girl and ring bearer, and bride walking down the aisle)
  • Close-up shots of the bride and groom's faces during the ceremony
  • The exchanging of vows and rings
  • The kiss
  • The recessional (bride and groom walking back down the aisle as a married couple)

Reception:

Sparkler Exit:

  • The bride and groom walking through a tunnel of sparklers
  • Close-up shots of the sparklers and the happy couple
  • The couple's exit into their getaway car
